Today I have some portrait photos to show you. I really love portrait photography and there is only a certain amount of times that Mum and James want to be the subject of my portrait photography practise. So when my good friend Parrish agreed to meet up with me in the half term and come on a photo shoot and shopping trip to Cambridge I was really grateful. We had a great day, the weather was just perfect, not too cold and not too sunny. I was really pleased with all of the photos I took.
Here are my favourites.
(Autumn Glow action from CoffeeShop - see link in my sidebar)
(Another CoffeeShop action, this time Creamy Chocolate B&W)
(Autumn Glow action again)
Thanks so much Parrish, I have some photos here which I am extremely pleased with. I want to just mention Amy-Rose King and Ashley Rogers who both have amazing photography blogs that I really love looking through and I found a lot of inspiration for this shoot on their websites.
Thanks very much for looking and any comments you may leave
Hannah :)

Wow Hannah! I think you have to agree they are pretty amazing shots & give yourself a large pat on the back :)) Fabulous work you clever girl!! xx
Ooh they are really gorgeous - well done you and how lovely of your friend to offer to help! I love the one next to the huge doors and the black and white one and the one with the phone made me giggle!
Great shots, my advice, make or invest in a reflector to get rid of shadows on the face
Thank you for your kind comments. Fifi, we do have a reflector, we even have a big one ideal for portraits, but as this was my first photo shoot out and about and I am using all of Mum's equipment I decided to keep it a bit less formal and not to take the reflector with me. Thank you though for the advice and next time (which hopefully there will be :D ) I shall take the reflector :)
Great photos Hannah, well done!
You've got some lovely shots here Hannah. I would totally agree with Fifi about the reflector. If you didn't want to be so conspicuous with a proper reflector out and about. try a piece of bazzill really white cardstock and ask your model to hold it on her knee for the close ups of the face. You'd be surprised at the difference it makes.
Love the angle of the last one, a lovely composition.
wow hannah, these are great photos. You've been very creative with the one through the wheel and the phone. Lovely lovely photos xx
Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog :)
Wow, your work is really stunning. You are very talented!
Fabulous shots, beautiful subject :) lucky you having a friend like that. Love the pic of her with her phone :)
You friend must be really pleased with the portraits - she looks fantastic! How lovely to have someone willing to photograph - and in such lovely locations!
Well done
Thanks again for all of your lovely comments. Gwyneth, thanks fro the idea of white cardstock, it's a great idea, I'll have to try that. Janys, yes the chocolate tone was added after. All of the photos I took were in colours as like you I prefer the freedom of changing the colour on photo editing software rather than converting it in the camera
:)
Fantastic photos Hannah, you really are an incredibly talented young lady.

Fantastic photos Hannah!!! Your have a big future ahead of you! Hugs Sarah x x
Lovely job Hannah! Some great shots and your model looks very relaxed. Fill in flash could have been an option for the shadowy shots as you didn't have a reflector with you but most of thm I think you nailed pretty well. Like the actions you've used:-) I'm a big fan of Amy-Rose King too!
Great pictures Hannah, you're lucky to have a willing friend. My grandchildren get so bored with me pointing my cameras in their faces lol!
Great job Hannah! Keep it up! If you ever have any questions or need anything from me, just shoot me an email! I'd be glad to help! :D Thanks for the shout-outs! I know Amy-Rose will appreciate it as well!
Thanks for the shout out! It was great hearing that you check my blog. Best of luck with your photography!!! Wish you were here in the States and we could meet up. Perhaps one day :0)
